Hi Rossgi,

The ANP role is about autonomous advanced hands-on practice, and 111 is pretty much the opposite of that - script led care. I asked for some advice on your behalf and they advised going straight to an ANP course i.e. Southbank University.

Kind regards,

Nigel

Hi everyone. I am an experienced a&e nurse (band 5) and my dream would be to become an advanced nurse practitioner. I have been offered this job as a 111 clinical advisor. Do you think it will help me to get a band 6 in a&e and then move on to anp? It is not easy to get a band 6 as there is a lot of people applying for this position. Wandering if working for 111 can give me some extra points
Many thanks to everyone that leave their opinion.
