How do you balance your work - life?

I am a final year product design student studying the effects of work- life balance on our health and how we can improve it. My aim is to design a product/service that will help us improve our life balance and therefore combat the issues associated with an imbalance.

Your profession has been identified as one of the worst for work-life balance and I am interested to know what you feel about the subject. If you would kindly spare 10 minutes to fill out these questions it would greatly help with my research:

 

  1. Would you describe your work – life balance as healthy or unhealthy?

     

     

  2. How many hours do you work per week?

     

     

  3. How demanding would you rate your job out of 10 physically?

     

     

  4. How demanding would you rate your job out of 10 mentally?

     

     

  5. What causes it to be this demanding?

     

     

  6. How satisfied are you with your current job out of 10?

     

     

  7. If you could how would you improve your work life?

     

     

  8. How many hours do you sleep per week?

     

     

  9. What is your routine from finishing work to when you go to sleep?

     

     

  10. What activities do you get up to in non work time?

     

     

  11. Do feel like you are able to switch off from work in non-work time, if not why is this?

     

     

  12. If you could how would you improve your non-work life?

     

     

  13. Do you think your current work-life balance is causing you any issues, if so what are they?
